So U Think U Can Dance

Arrrghhhhh! Why oh why?!?

As usual, I have been downloading torrents, and pretty much updated sa movies and tv series...One of my favorite TV shows right now is "So you think you can Dance"...it's basically a dance contest..its the 3rd season right now and i guess this season so far is the best (well in terms of how talented the contestants are).

Jesus Solario was one of my favorite dancers but then he was out of the show last night! waaaaahhhh...he's very good and very versatile...i like him kase feeling ko ang bait-bait nya..pero unfortunately, along with him at the bottom 3 were Danny and Neil (who did really well on their solo)..I really want Cedric to be out..his contemporary was eeeewwww...parang kiti-kiti na stiff hehe.. i guess America voted for him out of sympathy kase he got bad comments from the judges last week... ;(

Kakainis talaga...hayyy....affected ang lola!...anywayz, i still have Dominic/Sabra...Hok..Sarah... let's see....

Muscat trip

Me and hubby went to Oman during the weekend..actually 3 days lang naman..(fyi, weekend here is friday/saturday)..we left on a Wednesday afternoon....after work...as in he picked me up from office (with all our things na in the car) and we went straight to Lahbab road. It was just a straight road to the hatta border. It was 4.5 hours drive, including our short breaks...when we were still in Dubai, we drove at 130 to 140kph, but after the border na, limit is 100 na lang and near Muscat is 120...so of course, allowed mag-exceed ng 10 to 15kph...grabe, daming camera/radar sa Oman...i guess every 2 kms ata yun (guess lang ha, kase di ako marunong sa mga distance hehehe). Nakakapagod umupo hehe...driving wise, ok lang kase me cruise-control naman hehehe.

Most of you may be wondering why Oman? after the cyclone Gonu just a week before our trip??...well, we had it planned kase about a month before pa.. we wanted to visit Derrick's relatives there. Since sabi nila eh ok naman ang road na and me electricity/water na...so no problem daw pumunta...

Oman is nice...very quiet...greener than dubai....but when you reach Muscat, maraming mountains/hills or whatever you can call it...btw, for those of you who doesnt know..mostly bato ang mountains d2 hehe...not like our mountains in pinas na green at maraming trees....parang grand canyon ang dating dito hehe

Hubby's aunt and uncle are veryyy hospitable and nice...I was pampered nga eh..sa food, etc etc... kala ko pinoy lang ang ganun hehehe...his uncle even prepared some pork roast for me...of course non-spicy...and in the morning, i have my breakfast ready na, with matching tea hehe,.

What a small world nga pala coz we met Mheng there...she happened to be an officemate of Aunt Lucy's bestfriend...Ive met some of derrick's relatives who are residing there as well...we drove around the city..in some area, grabeh ang nangyari sa kanila coz of the cyclone..me area dun na binaha..as in washed out mga gamit nila sa bahay...ang mga cars, nagpatong-patong...mga inanod na cars and gamit, some roads were destroyed, at ung isang prime area dun na maraming restaurants, shops..ay sira talaga...i even saw this Mcdonalds outlet na washed out. Well sabi nila, mostly heavy rains kase that time and some wind...worst...ung waters na naiipon sa mountain eh nagca-cause ng flashflood...or they call it "Wadi" here...imagine mo yun...sa sobrang dami ng mountain dun...ayun...wawa mga tao. Grabe ang casualties sa ibang area...fortunately sa area ng Auntie ni Derrick, ok naman...Hayyy..sana di mangyari toh sa Dubai..im sure magbabaha d2 coz walang drainage system d2....Hayyy!

Overall, i enjoyed the trip...kahit na di kame nakapaglibot gaano...i had a good rest talaga...life/time there is kinda slow unlike Dubai na ang bilis ng oras...marerelax ka dun and tahimik...walang traffic (as far as i know) and hindi gaano ka populated... Well it was a long 3 days for me and im very thankful for them kase they really took care of me.

Tale of the Missing Cologne

Are you familiar with Johnson's baby cologne "Slide" scent??...

I love the smell of it and i always ask someone (coming from Phils) to buy one for me since it is not available here in Dubai. I have this habit of leaving my cologne in the office, together with my kikay stuffs like lotion, lipstick, toothbrush, tooth paste, etc. As part of my daily after-lunch routine, me and my 2 pinay friends have this "brushing" session in the toilet, and the first thing I do before brushing my teeth, is put my favorite cologne.

One time, my cologne was missing from my kit and i was pretty sure that i did not misplace it.. I thought that someone might have taken it from my kit (weird!)..but my friends told me that i may have left it somewhere..Oh well, actually it was fine with me...it was just a cologne di ba?...anywayz, i have a spare bottle at home and again kept that new one in my office drawer. Unfortunately, that replacement was again missing...hmmmm....but why my cologne?!...i have lots of nice stuffs in my drawer but i guess whoever is snooping around my station is not interested with them at all (another weird thing).

Would you believe that I have a "cologne" thief in the office?!?..well i dont want to accuse anyone since it was just a freaking cologne!! Pero to test whether someone really stole my cologne, I brought an empty Johnson Slide bottle and filled it with another type/scent of Johnson's baby cologne...well fortunately after few weeks, it's still in my drawer...i guess that freaking thief dont like the lemon scent anyway hehehe.

My officemate's nephew who recently arrived from Philippines bought me a new cologne...Para safe & not to lose it again, I put a small amount of it on a small transparent bottle and kept it  in my drawer...and guess what...it was missing again!...I can't believe it! 3rd time na toh... bet he really liked that particular scent hahaha...that was sooo weird!

Pros:  At least I helped someone na bumango...look at the bright side Tekya...

Cons:  Mahirap magpabili ng bagong cologne kase especially from Pinas pa toh =(

The Lesson:  Dont leave the cologne in your office drawer...keep it in your bag...(btw, if you were thinking why I dont lock my drawer...sorry pero nawawala ang keys ko!)

The Advise :  Try and fill a new bottle with ACID and little bit of cologne...tingnan lang natin kung hindi mo pa mahuli ang culprit...if someone comes to office with a "lapnos" (acid mark) around his neck...YUN na Yun!!... ** with matching evil grin**

Well....that's all for now..the tale of the missing cologne...just wanna share lang...hehehe

What is Love?

When I was about to switch off my laptop...i suddenly thought about this verse from the Bible...might as well post it here to inspire others and remind all of you what is the real meaning of LOVE....

"Love is very patient and kind,

never jealous or envious,

never boastful or proud,

never haughty or selfish or rude.

Love does not demand its own way.

It is not irritable or touchy.

It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong.

It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out.

If you love someone you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost.

You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him."

...All the special gifts and powers from God will someday come to an end,

but love goes on forever..........
